WHAT ABOUT PACKAGING??

Before we can figure out the shipping costs, the item is packaged by our in-house packaging specialist. And yes, we do charge for packaging IF AND ONLY IF we have to buy boxes or accomodate any special packaging requests. Thus far we have yet to charge anyone for the packaging of an item!!! We either ship it utilizing the original packaging from the manufacturer, or we make our own packaging with "used" boxes that we have obtained from various sources at no cost.

This has led to some interesting packaging schemes (don't be surprised if you receive a box with "Adult Diapers" labeled on the sides) and multiple boxes taped together for those larger items. It all boils down to lower costs for you!!!

Jennys Closet does not open new, "unopened" items prior to shipment for inspection purposes.  The winning bidder always has the right to request us to inspect the item for gross manufacturer defects prior to shipment.

HOW WE CALCULATE SHIPPING COSTS...

Once the item is all boxed up, we measure it and use our super calibrated scale to get the approximate weight. Then we enter all the data (including YOUR zip code) into the UPS and USPS web site rate calculators to get a quick quote which we forward to you. Then it's up to you to decide how you want it shipped.
